Almost three-quarters of 101.1 Retro FM® listeners are adults ages 45-64. About half of our audience makes $50K or more annually. Those people have money to spend. Those are the people whose ears you need to be in!
Format like no other
That's because we aren't part of a large corporate group with only a handful of syndicated bland formats that have no personality. Retro FM® is only station of two stations we own, and our format of Retro Hits is unlike any other on radio or streaming services, uniquely programmed just for The Wiregrass region of South Alabama.

101.1 Retro FM® is locally programmed, so you won't hear the same 300 songs played in the same order as you do on the other two Classic Hits stations in South Alabama, who get their music from a national syndication hub. The Retro FM® music library is massive, with over 2,000 titles, programmed especially for South Alabama, to take you back to the days of Reaganomics and Beavis & Butthead.
Short breaks
We keep the breaks at 3 minutes or less. Research shows that the audience will stay through a 3 minute commercial break, but start to tune out if the break is much longer than that.
VISUAL, AS WELL AS AUDIO
If customers can’t find it, it doesn’t exist. Retro FM® gives you the ability to SHOW your website or Facebook page to your potential new customers. Research shows that listeners remember a website more easily than a phone number or street address. We invested in technology that displays your website or Facebook page for the entirety of your 30 or 60 second ad on compatible radios. (The text display is not compatible with audio less than 30 seconds.)

JetStream Media invested in new digital playback equipment for 101.1 MHz before launching Retro FM® on August 15, 2025. That means our music sounds awesome, no matter if you're listening on a tiny tin can speaker, Premium Audio System or a pair of earbuds. It's 100% digital audio right into our FM transmitter!
